Concrete Walkways & Sidewalks in Charlotte, NC

Walkways carry people, set sight lines, and quietly decide whether a house feels finished. We pour front walks, garden paths, side-yard connections and sidewalk sections with the same base prep and finishing discipline as our biggest slabs — because a path that heaves or ponds water is worse than no path at all.

New concrete walkway leading to a Charlotte home's front entrance

How we build it

Step 1

Layout

We mark the route and width with you — straight runs, sweeping curves, or landings and steps where the grade calls for them.

Step 2

Base prep

Excavation and compacted stone so the walk doesn't settle or heave with the seasons.

Step 3

Pour & finish

Poured at walkway-appropriate thickness, finished broom-standard or decorative, edges detailed clean.

Step 4

Cure & cleanup

Joints cut, surface cured, landscape edges restored. Walk on it within a day or two.

Walkways & Sidewalks — common questions

How wide should a walkway be?

Three feet is the practical minimum for one person; four feet lets two people walk side by side. Front entry walks usually look and function best at four feet or wider.

Can you replace a cracked, uneven sidewalk section?

Yes — we cut out and re-pour damaged sections, matching joint spacing and finish to the surrounding walk so the repair doesn't shout.
