Stamped Concrete in Charlotte, NC
Stamped concrete gives you the high-end look of natural stone or pavers at a lower installed cost, with none of the joints that shift and grow weeds. Color goes into and onto the concrete, patterns are pressed in while it's plastic, and a sealer locks in the finish — driveways, patios, walkways and pool decks all qualify.

How we build it
Step 1
Pattern & color selection
Pick from slate, ashlar, flagstone, wood-plank and more, with base and accent colors — we bring samples so you choose from real finishes, not screenshots.
Step 2
Base & pour
Same engineering as our standard slabs: compacted stone base, proper thickness, reinforcement where it matters.
Step 3
Color & stamping
Integral color and release agent applied, mats pressed in a tight window while the slab is workable. This is the craft step — crew experience is everything.
Step 4
Detail & seal
Joints cut, surface washed, accent residue balanced, then sealed for depth of color and protection.
Stamped Concrete: cost in Charlotte
Stamped concrete typically runs meaningfully above a standard broom finish for the same footprint because of the color systems and stamping labor — most stamped patios and driveways we quote in Charlotte land in the mid four figures to low five figures. Written quotes are free; project minimum is $2,000.
| What moves the price | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Pattern complexity | Multi-texture and border patterns take longer to stamp and detail. |
| Color system | Integral color plus antiquing release costs more than single-tone finishes. |
| Area & layout | Curves, borders and multiple zones add forming and stamping time. |
| Sealing | Quality sealer application is included; periodic resealing is the only maintenance. |

Stamped Concrete — common questions
Does stamped concrete fade or wear?
The color is in the concrete and protected by sealer, so it doesn't peel like paint. A reseal every few years keeps the color rich and the surface protected — that's the only regular maintenance stamped concrete needs.
Is stamped concrete slippery?
Texture from the stamp pattern provides grip, and we can add a non-slip additive to the sealer for pool decks and shaded areas that stay damp.
Can you stamp over my existing patio?
Stamping needs fresh, plastic concrete, so existing slabs can't be stamped directly. The usual path is a tear-out and re-pour, or in some cases a stampable overlay — we'll tell you honestly which your slab supports after seeing it.
